主體８９（２０００）年８月的一天，偉大領導者金正日同志來到了咸鏡南道鹹州郡東峰合作農場（時稱）。
金正日同志巡視農場的一些農田，讚賞了農場取得的兩熟制、三熟制農業生產成果。
金正日同志瞭解農場踐行的馬鈴薯栽培方法後，對農場管理幹部說，每個地方都可能有符合自己實際的耕作方法，這才是最好的耕作方法，你們必須找到符合本地特點的耕作方法。
那天，金正日同志具體詢問農場新栽培的稻種和農場利用的化肥種類，然後對農場幹部們說，天氣年年不同，因此至少要做３～４年的試驗後，用對比的方法分析種子，才會知道好壞。金正日同志還告訴他們說，要用那個稻種進行栽培試驗時，必須按照我們的方式施用化肥。
金正日同志鼓勵他們繼續搞好兩熟制、三熟制的同時，也搞好新稻種研究工作，並再三叮囑無論如何也要找出新的高產品種。
“要根據本地特點進行農業生產活動。”偉大領導者金正日同志的這番教導，是農業生產活動中必須堅持落實的綱領性指標。（完）
주체89(2000)년 8월 어느날 위대한 령 도자 김정일동지 께서는 함경남도 함주군 동봉협동농장(당시)을 찾으시였다.
이날 농장에서 새로 재배하고있는 벼품종과 어떤 비료를 쓰고있는가도 구체적으로 알아보시고 농장일군들에게 해마다 일기가 다른 조건에서 종자는 적어도 3~4년동안 시험하면서 대비적으로 보아야 좋은것인지 나쁜것인지 알수 있다고,그 벼종자에 대한 재배시험을 할 때 화학비료를 우리 식대로 쳐야 한다는데 대해서도 하나하나 가르쳐주시였다.
모든 농사일을 자기 지방의 특성에 맞게 하여야 한다고 하신 위대한 장군님 의 간곡한 가르치심은 농사에서 튼튼히 틀어쥐고나가야 할 강령적지침이였다.
One day in August Juche 89 (2000), Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the then Tongbong Co-op Farm in Hamju County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.
He went round various fields of the farm making successes in double and triple cropping.
Learning about how the farm has cultivated potato, he told its management official that a good farming method is the one suited to the specific conditions of the relevant area and that it is necessary to find out good farming methods suited to the regional features.
Then, he acquainted himself in detail with the new rice strains and variety of fertilizer, cultivated and used at the farm. He told the officials of the farm that it is possible to know whether the seeds are good or bad only when they have been tested for at least three or four years under different weather and that chemical fertilizer should be applied in our own way when the rice seed is in cultivation test.
Encouraging the farm officials to do well the double and triple cropping and the study of new rice seeds in the future, too, he repeatedly asked them to obtain new high-yielding strains at any cost.
His earnest instruction that all farm work should be done in conformity with the local characteristics was important guidelines to be held fast to in farming.
