Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he believes that Serbia made a mistake by voting for a European resolution in the United Nations General Assembly reaffirming support for Ukraine and its territorial integrity, but should have abstained.

"I think Serbia made a mistake today, I apologize to the citizens for that. I take the blame for it myself because I'm probably tired and burdened and can't get everything done," Vucic told the Serbian channel Happy Television on Monday evening.
Vucic said that Serbia voted in support of the Anti-Russian UN resolution by mistake. He regretted the error, saying he "did not have time" to study the materials.
對此，俄羅斯總統新聞秘書、克里姆林宮發言人佩斯科夫25日在記者會上作出回應。

Following Vucic's remarks, Russia reacted Tuesday saying that it accepted Serbia's apology.
“Of course, we heard it — of course, we accepted it. Indeed, technical errors do happen and, of course, such a prompt reaction from the head of state is very appealing to us,” said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
當地時間24日，聯大烏克蘭問題緊急特別會議首先透過一項不具約束力的決議，呼籲俄羅斯結束在烏克蘭的“敵對行動”，重申迫切需要在今年結束戰爭。這份由烏克蘭等多國提交的決議草案以93票贊成、18票反對、65票棄權的結果獲得透過。美國、俄羅斯、白俄羅斯、以色列和匈牙利等國投了反對票，中國、印度、巴基斯坦和南非等65個國家投了棄權票。
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Monday, backed by European nations, calling for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. Russia and the United States voted against it, while Serbia was among 93 countries that supported it. Eighteen countries opposed the resolution and 65 abstained.
此外，由美國提出的一份決議草案在第一次表決中未獲足夠支援，經補充歐盟提出的修正案後再次表決得以透過。美國因反對歐盟修正案中的部分表述，在第二次表決中投了棄權票。
