今年夏天的蟬格外多嗎？“蟬尿”是什麼成分，對人體有影響嗎？
7月21日，上海師範大學生物系動物學副教授湯亮在接受採訪時表示，蟬的確存在“大年、小年”現象，每年出現的數量會有波動，不同區域的數量分佈也不均，有些地方的蟬可能會格外多。但據他觀察，他附近的蟬的數量沒有特別多，屬於正常範圍。
"Based on personal observation, Shanghai's cicada population this summer remains within normal range," said Tang Liang, associate professor of zoology at Shanghai Normal University's Department of Biology. He explained that cicada populations fluctuate annually and distribute unevenly across regions, leading to localized surges. However, his own observations indicated no abnormal increase in local cicada density.
“蟬尿如雨”也是正常現象。他解釋，蟬的口器為刺吸式，以吸食植物汁液為生。樹木汁液中的營養成分比較少，蟬需要不停地吸取，其中的營養成分被吸收後，剩下的水分只能排出，“天氣越熱，吸食越猛，排出越多。”
The "cicada urine rain" is scientifically normal behavior. Tang clarified that cicadas possess piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on plant sap. As tree sap contains limited nutrients, cicadas must consume large volumes continuously. After absorbing nutrients, they expel excess water. "Higher temperatures accelerate feeding and consequently increase fluid excretion," he said.

為什麼有些地方蟬排出的滴液量非常大？湯亮解釋，這和蟬的種類有關。他注意到，網友拍攝的“蟬尿如雨”影片中的蟬是黑蚱蟬，這種蟬本身個頭大，而且喜歡叢集，一棵樹上會聚集很多雌雄個體，因此會有大量水珠滋出。
Regarding the substantial fluid volume in certain areas, Tang attributed this to the cicada species variation. He identified the cicadas in viral "urine rain" videos as Cryptotympana atrata—a larger species that aggregates densely on single trees with both males and females present, resulting in concentrated fluid excretion.
被“蟬尿”滋在身上自然有些糟心，但不必擔心。湯亮表示，蟬的“尿液”主要成分是水，還有微量的糖，對人體沒有影響，其他昆蟲也不感興趣。
While being sprayed is unpleasant, Tang reassured the public that cicada "urine" consists primarily of water with trace sugars, posing no health risks and attracting no interest from other insects.
雄蟬透過持續的鳴叫吸引雌蟬交配，但高分貝的聲音有時難免聒噪。湯亮表示：“希望居民朋友多體諒，蟬的成蟲壽命很短，比如黑蚱蟬只有十幾、二十幾天的壽命。大家能聽到蟬鳴主要在6月末到7月，8月就少了，9月已經很罕見。”
