報道稱，雖然巴菲特表示，各國之間能保持貿易平衡最好，但他認為特朗普大範圍徵收關稅的做法並非正確之舉，反而增加了全球不穩定的風險。
“我認為，打造一個只有少數幾個國家可以說‘哈哈，我們贏了’，其他國家只能羨慕的世界，這並不是個好主意，”他說，“貿易不應該被當作武器。”巴菲特主張，美國也將從全球貿易的繁榮發展中受益。
94歲的巴菲特表示：我始終相信，世界其他地區越加繁榮，並不會損害我們的利益，反而會促進我們的繁榮，增強我們的安全感，也讓你們的子孫後代生活得更加安心。
“I do think that the more prosperous the rest of the world becomes, it won’t be at our expense, the more prosperous we’ll become, and the safer we’ll feel, and your children will feel someday.”
他補充：“在我看來，75億人不喜歡你，而3億人卻在吹噓自己的成就，這不正確，也不明智。”
“It’s a big mistake, in my view, when you have seven and a half billion people that don’t like you very well, and you got 300 million that are crowing in some way about how well they’ve done – I don’t think it’s right, and I don’t think it’s wise,” Buffett said.
雖然巴菲特認為實現國際貿易平衡是理想目標，但他並不認同特朗普以大範圍徵收關稅的方式來推動貿易政策。他表示，世界在更多國家實現繁榮的情況下將更加安全。
“我們應該與世界其他國家開展貿易——我們做我們最擅長的事，他們做他們最擅長的事。”巴菲特說道。
Trade and tariffs “can be an act of war,” added the legendary investor. “And I think it’s led to bad things. Just the attitudes it’s brought out. In the United States, I mean, we should be looking to trade with the rest of the world and we should do what we do best and they should do what they do best.”
當地時間3日，伯克希爾·哈撒韋公司公佈了2025年第一季度財報，顯示運營利潤較去年同期大幅下滑。該公司業務涵蓋保險、運輸、能源、零售等多個領域，並警告稱關稅可能會進一步影響利潤。
報告顯示，伯克希爾的運營利潤在2025年第一季度下降了14%，從2024年同期的112.2億美元降至96.4億美元。此次利潤大幅下滑，主要受到保險承保利潤暴跌48.6%的影響。美元貶值也對公司業績造成了衝擊。
