崗位職責:
研究執行與資料收集(30%):按照既定研究方案開展實驗,收集資料並監測實驗結果
實驗室裝置與環境管理(15%):維護實驗室裝置及研究環境,管理庫存並補充所需材料
資料分析與報告(10%):處理、分析和解讀資料,為內部或外部報告/演示提供支援
研究方法與材料開發(10%):參與研究方法的最佳化、實驗材料的設計與實施
實驗室運營管理(20%):統籌日常事務,指導實驗室工作人員及學生助理
參與者招募(15%):協調學校、博物館及社群合作伙伴,開展研究參與者的招募工作

Job Summary:
The Social and Moral Learning Lab, directed by Dr. Pearl Han Li in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeks a full-time Research Specialist (Lab Manager). The Social and Moral Learning Lab investigates how children seek information about the world from developmental and cultural perspectives. We are especially interested in how children learn from others, form and revise their beliefs, and reason about social and moral issues across cultures.
The Research Specialist will play a central role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Social and Moral Learning Lab, including overseeing and conducting research on children's learning and social cognition, recruiting participants across various settings, and coordinating and training undergraduate researchers. Additional responsibilities include managing lab communications and providing operational support. This position also offers opportunities to develop independent research projects, contribute to collaborative studies, and present at scientific meetings. This position is ideal for someone seeking substantial research experience before pursuing graduate studies in developmental psychology or related fields.
Responsibilities:
Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision.

30% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results

15% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders

10% Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences

10% Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
-
20% Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers

15% Coordinates recruitment efforts with schools, museums, and community partners
Qualifications:
Required:
– One or more years of experience conducting psychological research (or in a closely related field)
– Experience with or strong interest in working with children, including ages 3-10
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to work independently
Preferred:
– Experience recruiting and working effectively with participants from marginalized or underrepresented communities
– Experience with statistical software (e.g., R) and experimental tools (e.g., Qualtrics)
– Familiarity with IRB processes and maintaining compliance
– Coursework in statistics and research methods
– Excellent written communication skills
– Interest in developmental psychology and cross-cultural research
