【Massachusetts General Hospital】

Clinical Research Coordinator

The Scharf Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital
(MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group. Our lab is located
in the Psychiatric and Neurodevelopmental Genetics Unit (PNGU) within the Center for Genomic
Medicine and the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry. The lab investigates genetic and nongenetic risk factors for Tourette syndrome (TS) and related conditions, such as obsessivecompulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum
disorder (ASD).

Our studies involve diagnostic assessments of neurodevelopmental and
psychiatric conditions; online survey-based collection of phenotypic information and medical,
social, and family histories; and the collection of blood and saliva for studies of DNA, RNA, and
induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). In addition to the work we do locally, our group co-leads
national and international multi-center genetic and phenotypic studies of TS and related disorders.

We are presently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Clinical Research Coordinator II
position beginning in May/June of 2025. This role involves both participant-facing and
administrative tasks, including coordinating study recruitment, consenting participants, facilitating
blood or saliva sample collection, managing study protocols, preparing and submitting documents
to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and facilitating meetings. In addition to these tasks, the role
provides opportunities for interested candidates to contribute to data analysis and help write up
results for publication. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing medical
school or a PhD in clinical psychology, and affords numerous opportunities for exposure to
neurology, psychiatry, and neuropsychiatric genetics. We hope that our research will inform and
improve future diagnostic, prognostic, treatment, and prevention strategies for TS and related
conditions. The Scharf Lab recognizes that our goals can be best accomplished through a team
with diverse thoughts, approaches, and backgrounds. Therefore, we encourage candidates from

【匹茲堡大學醫學中心】

Research Tech Basic Science

This position is part of the Pittsburgh Girls Study, a 22-year longitudinal, community-based research project focused on young women in the City of Pittsburgh. Several ongoing projects examine health during pregnancy and the postpartum period. The person hired for this role will be responsible for processing, documenting, and storing biospecimen samples according to study protocols.

The position involves working within a small team, requiring effective communication with team members, collaborators, and the supervisor. The role also requires availability for weekday afternoon and Saturday lab coverage.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong self-discipline, and proficiency with various lab equipment. They should have a solid understanding of lab methodologies, precision measurement, and hands-on experience in a lab setting.

The ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and communicate effectively for documentation and collaboration is essential. Research Assistant

A Research Assistant position is available within Columbia University’s, Translational Research on Affective Disorders and Suicide Laboratory, directed by Randy P. Auerbach, Ph.D, ABPP. The Research Assistant will support NIMH funded research focusing on elucidating neural (e.g., EEG/ERPs, MRI), behavioral, and real-time markers (e.g., passive sensor data, EMA) of depression and suicidal behaviors in adolescents. The position is fulltime, starting as early as feasible. A two-year commitment is requested, and renewal of the appointment is contingent upon continued funding. A period of evaluation will be required. Flexibility in working hours is a plus.

Responsibilities

Initiate and maintain contact with study participants & work in concert with Principal Investigator to develop and to implement patient/participant recruitment.
Screen applicants, ensuring they meet appropriate criteria, and making independent judgment as to the suitability of their participation.
Conduct experiments with neuroimaging (EEG, fMRI, MRS) data and experimental tasks.
Organize and maintain the databases.
Assist the Principal Investigator in manuscript and grant preparation as well as presentation of research data; perform library searches; assist with management of laboratory budget, including ordering equipment and in completion of institutional review board applications.
Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
