強烈譴責昆市發生的一系列針對亞裔的仇恨犯罪案件

痛心！憤懣！

上月在昆市Wollaston地鐵站附近華裔婦女遭綁架強姦案的惡劣影響仍在發酵，本月初又發生了另一起針對亞裔的仇視攻擊案件。

11月12日，一名26歲非裔2男子綁架強姦一名64歲華裔女性，長達10個小時的性侵及毆打，在發現她沒有呼吸後將她丟棄在Brockton韋斯特蓋特購物中心(Westgate Mall)的停車場，萬幸活下來，但身心嚴重受傷。

NECAA Announcement: Strongly Condemn a Series of Asian Hate Crimes in Quincy

On November 12, a 26-year-old African American male kidnapped and raped a 64-year-old Chinese woman, sexually assaulted and beat her for over 10 hours, and then dumped her in the parking lot of the Westgate Mall in Brockton after finding her not breathing. She survived but suffered severe physical and mental injuries.

12月2日，一名77歲白人男子，在昆市街道上威脅了一個亞裔家庭，對他們大喊“回去中國”，隨後用車輛多次撞擊家庭成員，並一直叫囂著充滿仇恨的口號，目前受害者仍在住院治療。

On December 2, a 77-year-old white man threatened an Asian family
on a street in Quincy, shouting "Go back to China" and hitting family
members with a vehicle several times. The victim now is still in hospital.

短短一個月內，在昆市這樣一個亞裔人口比例最高的城市，連續發生兩起駭人聽聞的仇恨犯罪，對社會造成十分不好的影響。

新英格蘭華人聯盟對這一系列的仇恨犯罪強烈譴責，並且願意盡力與社會各界一起，幫助受害者發聲，祝願受害者走出陰影，早日康復。

新英格蘭華人聯盟督促政府和警方應重視針對亞裔的歧視和仇恨暴力事件，增加警力和擴大巡邏來加強昆市的治安，維護亞裔安居樂業的權利，並積極預防此類案件的再次發生。

In just one month, in Quincy, a city with the highest proportion of Asian population, two horrific Asian hate crimes occurred in succession, which has a distressing impact on society.

NECAA strongly condemns these hate crimes and is willing to work
with all sectors of the community to help the victims speak out and hope them
get better soon.

NECAA urges the government and police to pay attention to
discrimination and Asian hate violence, increase police and patrol to
strengthen security in Quincy, protect the right of Asians to live and work,
and actively prevent similar cases from happening again.
