【演講主題】華人參政論壇

新英格蘭華人聯盟(NECAA)和牛頓華人協會(CAAN)熱烈邀請我們華人社團朋友參與這次激勵人心的華人參政論壇，論壇上有來自大波士頓都會地區的過去和現在的華裔民選代表。他們將分享各自在公民參政方面的見解和經驗，以及社群華人社團所面臨的獨特挑戰和機遇。

從歷史上看，亞裔社群由於語言、文化差異和第一代移民的經歷而遇到了公民參與的障礙。然而，隨著過去幾十年人口的增長和公民意識的提高，亞裔社群現在比以往任何時候都更願意在社群管理立法中發揮積極和有力的作用。這個論壇旨在為我們的社群營造一個更具包容性，正義性，及代表性的公民管理社會環境。

新英格蘭華人聯盟（New England Chinese American Alliance），是一個立足於新英格蘭地區的501C4非盈利組織，旨在推動華裔參與社群和社會活動、提高華裔的生活幸福指數和競爭力、提升華裔在美國的影響力。NECAA組織了一系列與文化、經濟、社會、政治等方面的活動，號召華裔一起了解、參與到與我們自身息息相關的各種事務當中來。

The purposes of the Chinese American Association of Newton (CAAN) are

To advance Chinese-American interests in important city-wide activities especially, but not limited to, cultural and public school education, local issues, and diversity.

To support members with opportunities for involvement in the Newton community through volunteerism, networking, and social events.

To collaborate with City residents, municipal offices and community organizations for the contribution to wellness and quality of the Newton community life.

The purposes of CAAN are promoted through advocacy, cultural awareness, and educational programs directed toward city residents, officials, and the general public; developed through designated projects and programs; and governed and qualified by the basic policies set forth in our bylaws.
