I think as Asians, we should do more to contribute. Ask not how much you can make, ask how much you contribute. Yes, contribution is more important than making money.

原文: Now, I really want to express my sincere thanks to my family, especially my beautiful wife. You probably don't know—her IQ score is probably thirty percent higher than mine, and I came to the States because of her. We didn't have money, so one of us had to get a scholarship. In 1990, she nearly got a perfect GRE score and she got a full scholarship which allowed me to come as her spouse. So, Asian women somehow are better than Asian men for whatever reason. She also gave up her professorship at Wake Forest University as a tenure-track professor to allow me to pursue my dream in California, and I'm really grateful.

原文: At Amino Capital, we invest in a lot of companies, and many of their founders are immigrants and minorities. You probably heard of "Weee!" the Asian grocery online store. We wrote the first check. We invested in Chinese Americans, Korean Americans, Japanese Americans, African Americans, Jewish, Arabs—we invest in everybody.
Today, I also want to thank my partners. Nobody can go far alone. There’s a saying: if you want to go quick, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. I want to thank my partners, Dr. Huican Zhu and Dr. Sue Xu, who are here today. Without their partnership, I couldn't be where I am today.

原文: There’s a lot more we can do as Asian Americans. We do a lot of work, but we’re so quiet, sometimes too quiet. We need to speak up and contribute more. There’s so much work we can do together. One entrepreneur asked me, if he's going to open a Chinese school, how can he make it big? I said there are only more than five million Chinese Americans here. So, don't just build a Chinese school only for Chinese, build it for everybody. Learn from the PJCC, the Peninsula Jewish Community Center; They include everybody.

原文: What we found out is that 80% of the unicorn companies, the billion-dollar companies, have at least one founder who is either a woman, a minority, or an immigrant. 原文: What was your reaction when you found out that you would be honored to be listed in the Asian Hall of Fame?
矽谷李師傅：（譯）我非常驚訝，因為我是家裡第一個獲得高學歷的人，這是很長的一條道路。在這裡，一切皆有可能。
原文: It's completely surprising because in my family, I’m the first person to get quality degrees. So, it came a long way. In America, everything is possible.

原文: You have done so much, especially on a global level, investing in companies. So let me ask you this—what advice would you give to someone looking to make their first million-dollar investment?

原文: That's a billion-dollar question! What I find is, most successful companies have at least one immigrant, minority, or female founder. If you want to make your first million, you should partner with people who have a unique background and different perspectives.
