地區英語語言辦公室 (RELO) 和美國駐上海總領事館邀請您參加在義烏市中心舉行的為期半天的英語語言專家創意寫作和口語培訓。本次研討會將重點關注課堂上的創意寫作和口語練習。創意寫作可以提高學生的基本寫作技能，使他們成為更具批判性思維的讀者，提高編輯技能，並幫助學生練習交際語言的使用。口語練習可以提高流利度，增強詞彙量，提高自信心，讓學生了解如何創造性地使用語言。

Dear English Teachers,
The Regional English Language Office (RELO) and the U.S. Consulate Shanghai invite you for a half-day training opportunity with our English Language Specialist on creative writing and speaking in downtown Yiwu. This workshop will focus on creative writing in the classroom and speaking exercises. Creative writing improves students basic writing skills, makes them more critically-minded readers, enhances editing skills and helps students practice communicative language use. Speaking practice improves fluency, reinforces vocabulary, improves confidence and makes students understand how to creatively use the English language.
Our EducationUSA Adviser will also introduce the Five Steps to study in the USA.
Please fill out the questionnaire through the QR Code if you are interested. We will notify you on next steps if you are selected based on your answers by March 12th.
This workshop is free of charge to English teachers and will be conducted in English. English teachers from all grade levels are welcome to attend.
授課老師簡介：
Damien Shuck 是美國國務院英語語言專家和英語語言獎學金專案的參與者，這兩個專案都是教育和文化事務局交流計劃的一部分。他目前是中國鄭州海斯堡州立大學的全球商務英語講師。Damien 擁有南緬因大學的美術碩士 (MFA)。他的詩集《溺水之室》獲得了 2013 年新美國詩歌獎。
About the English Language Specialist:
Damien Shuck is a participant in the U.S. Department of State’s English Language Specialist and English Language Fellowship Programs, both part of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs exchange initiatives. He is currently a Global Business English Instructor at Fort Hays State University in Zhengzhou, China. Damien holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Southern Maine. His poetry collection, The Drowning Room, won the 2013 New American Poetry Award.
