據美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）報道，美國國家航空航天局（NASA）噴氣推進實驗室近地天體研究中心近日表示，一顆名為“2024 YR4”的小行星，有2%的機率將在2032年撞上地球。
A recently discovered asteroid, named 2024 YR4, has on average a 2% chance of hitting Earth in 2032.

“2024 YR4”於2024年12月27日首次被發現。據估計，這顆小行星直徑為40至90米，與一棟大樓大小相當。
Not much is known about 2024 YR4, but the asteroid is estimated to be 131 to 295 feet (40 to 90 meters) wide, a "size range comparable to that of a large building."
自2025年1月初以來，NASA的天文學家一直使用望遠鏡來追蹤這顆小行星。目前，這顆小行星距離地球超過4800萬公里。雖然撞擊的可能性很小，但天文學家正在密切跟蹤，以發現更多細節。
While those odds of an impact are slim, astronomers are closely tracking the space rock to uncover more details.

Planet killer asteroids are space rocks that are 1 kilometer across or larger and could have a devastating effect on life.
