當地時間5月22日，世界反興奮劑機構 (WADA）發表宣告，譴責將於明年5月在美國舉行的“增強運動會（Enhanced Games）”。
世界反興奮劑機構表示，“增強運動會”是一個危險且不負責任的賽事概念。這項賽事會危及運動員的健康和福祉，它試圖鼓勵運動員使用強效藥物，達到娛樂和營銷目的。同一天，世界反興奮劑機構運動員委員會也發表宣告，強烈反對“增強運動會”的舉行。
The World Anti-Doping Agency condemned the Enhanced Games as "dangerous and irresponsible" on Thursday, a day after the competition that endorses the use of banned substances announced its inaugural 2026 event.
The Enhanced Games operate under the principle that banning performance-enhancing drugs in major competitions does not protect athletes but rather stifles their performance, and called on athletes to join the competition.
因為允許運動員使用類固醇和生長激素等長期以來在體育賽事中被嚴格禁止的興奮劑，“增強運動會”遭到國際體育界廣泛批評。
世界反興奮劑機構警告，任何希望參加受《世界反興奮劑條例》管轄賽事的運動員及隨行人員，若參與“增強運動會”，其行為可能違反《世界反興奮劑條例》規定。
"WADA warns athletes and support personnel who wish to participate in sport regulated by the World Anti-Doping Code, that if they were to take part in the Enhanced Games, they would risk committing anti-doping rule violations," said WADA.
"They would also put their reputations on the line, as they would risk forever being associated with doping."
國際奧委會表示，“增強運動會”將摧毀體育運動“公平競賽”的原則；比賽支持者所宣揚的“主權個人”理念，意味著摒棄所有公認的規則與價值觀，這與奧林匹克運動“透過體育競技團結世界，以公平競爭精神追求更快、更高、更強——更團結”的理念與價值觀完全背道而馳。
英國反興奮劑機構主席皮爾斯指出，這項運動會忽視了使用合成代謝類固醇與家庭暴力之間的關聯，並可能對運動員的身體、心理和社會健康造成嚴重危害。他警告參與者可能面臨觸犯英國《濫用藥物法案》的法律後果。據瞭解，目前尚無英國運動員確認參加該賽事。

據路透社，首屆“增強運動會”將於2026年5月21日至24日在拉斯維加斯舉行，擬設專案包括游泳（50米和100米自由泳以及50米和100米蝶泳）、田徑（100米跑和100/110米跨欄）及舉重（抓舉和挺舉）。組織者表示，他們將在保護運動員的同時，利用科技來提高運動員的力量和速度，從而將“超人”表現提升到一個新水平。
The Enhanced Games have set their inaugural competition for May 2026 in Las Vegas, with swimming, athletics and weightlifting on the agenda. For swimming, the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly are on the agenda. Athletics has the 100m sprint along with the 110m and 100m hurdles, while weightlifting will feature the snatch and clean and jerk.
