Research Assistant I
Department of Special Education and CounsellingProject Title: United by Common Goals: Influences of Teacher Goals and School Goal Structures on Teacher Retention[Appointment Period: 12 months]The appointee will provide support to a project related to teacher well-being and retention intentions. He/she will be responsible to assist in data collection, data analyses, report writing, seminar organizations, and other administrative duties. The appointee might also be involved in other projects on similar topics. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or other related disciplines. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master’s degree or relevant post-qualification working experiences. Applicants should also have good data analysis skills (e.g., SPSS, Mplus) and demonstrate computer literacy (i.e. use of MS Word, Excel, Chinese and English word processing, database creation, and management). Preferences will be provided to candidates with strong research backgrounds and data analytical skills. Applicants should also have an excellent command of English and Chinese and be able to work independently with good planning, organization, and interpersonal skills. For further enquiries about the post, please contact Dr Wang Hui at [email protected].
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
