Lab Manager Position
Stress, Health, and Development Lab
The Stress, Health, and Development (SHAD) Lab at Georgetown University (Principal Investigator: Dr. Jessica Chiang) is seeking a full-time Lab Manager. The SHAD Lab studies how stress gets inside our bodies to alter our biology, and what can help us reduce the harmful health consequences of stress. This position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing an advanced degree in Psychology or related fields. The preferred start date is May-June 2025, and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
The Lab Manager will oversee the daily operations of the lab, providing both research and administrative support. Research responsibilities include maintaining IRB approval for studies; conducting literature reviews; recruiting participants; running participant visits that involve collecting and processing blood samples; developing study protocols; processing, cleaning, and analyzing data; and supporting manuscript and grant preparation. Administrative tasks will include managing lab supplies; hiring and supervising volunteer research assistants; planning and coordinating lab events/meetings; and documenting and tracking expenses. Additionally, the position offers opportunities to contribute to publications and present research at scientific meetings.

Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) invites applications for a full-time research assistant (RA) in Dr. Nancy Jao’s research lab starting in May or June 2025.
Dr. Jao’s research lab (The Health, Behaviors, and Tobacco Use (HaBiT) Research Lab) focuses on examining underlying biobehavioral and psychological relationships to understand the impact of smoking on biological processes influencing nicotine dependence and health disparities. Dr. Jao’s current research focuses on understanding the health effects of tobacco products to help regulatory agencies identify and quantify the potential impact of public policies.
The RA will primarily contribute to a clinical trial research study funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) examining the effect of menthol cigarette use on cardiovascular disease risk. The RA will also assist on other research projects and collaborations in the HaBiT Research Lab including: 1) investigating the impact of flavored tobacco product use on clinical biomarkers in longitudinal, nationally-representative studies; and 2) developing collaborations with community organizations to examine the role of stigma and smoking among LGBTQ+ individuals and rural populations.

Postgraduate Associate Position in Neuroimaging and Neurofeedback at Yale
We are looking for a postgraduate associate with an interest in the use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) neurofeedback for treating and studying neuropsychiatric disorders. Projects include a study using neurofeedback for treating adolescents with Tourette Syndrome and another using mindfulnessbased neurofeedback to augment dialectical behavior therapy in patients with borderline personality disorder.
This full-time research position will involve recruiting and screening patients, scheduling visits, maintaining and updating regulatory documents, and conducting neuroimaging sessions including real-time fMRI neurofeedback scans.
The ideal candidate will have completed a bachelor’s degree, but not a doctoral degree, and will be interested in training for at least a year, preferably 2, in human neuroimaging research. They will be highly motivated, will communicate well orally and in writing, and will have interpersonal and organizational skills that enable efficient coordination with clinicians, patients, scanner technicians, and researchers. There will be opportunities to learn neuroimaging data analysis, to develop academic presentation skills and to shadow clinical assessments.
