On August 6, 2024, at the Air Force base, we had the privilege of an exclusive interview with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, including opposing solo pilot #6 Maj Jeffrey Downie.

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon and perform a combination of formation and solo maneuvers in an inspiring, patriotic, high energy demonstration. The four-jet diamond performs precision formation flight with the aircraft wingtips as close as 4 feet apart while performing loops, inverted rolls and even high performance turns! The two solo jets perform high energy maneuvers together and from opposite directions closing in on each other as fast as 1,000 mph. The six jets come together in the delta formation as the finale for the show, flying difficult formations and signature breaks that fill the sky with speed, sound and smoke trails!

On August 5, 2024, at the Air Force base, we had the honor of interviewing Colonel Stefano Pietropaoli, the Commander of the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori North America Tour.

Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori

The Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori are visiting the USA for the first time in over 32 years. Their performance will commemorate the 500th anniversary of Giovanni da Verrazzano's expedition to America in 1524. Also known as the "Tricolour Arrows" in English, are officially designated as the 313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico, Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale. The Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team comprises of ten aircraft, holding the distinction of being the world's largest acrobatic patrol. Their 30-minute display will showcase their awe-inspiring skills, bringing a touch of Italian flair to the skies over New York.
