北京時間5月14日，在紐約舉行的聯合國運動會閉幕式上，國際乒聯第一副主席、世界乒乓球職業大聯盟（WTT）董事會主席、中國乒協前主席劉國樑受邀成為“聯合國運動會大使”。
Liu Guoliang, vice chairman of the International Table Tennis Federation and chairman of the WTT Board of Directors, was appointed "UN Games Ambassador" during the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 United Nations Games, held at UN Headquarters in New York on Wednesday (Beijing time).

當天，劉國樑以影片的方式在閉幕式上致辭。他說：“作為聯合國運動會大使，我謹向無數體育愛好者、觀眾、志願者和服務人員表達最深切的謝意，是你們讓本次賽事取得圓滿成功。”
劉國樑表示，青少年是體育運動的未來，透過這樣的活動，大家不僅獲得了健康的體魄，也收穫了真摯的友誼。“正值‘國際和平與信任年’之際，讓我們繼續以體育作為連線不同文化和民族的橋樑，讓我們攜手，透過每一次發球，每一次奔跑，弘揚體育團結、和諧、傳承友誼的共同價值。”
劉國樑說，自己期待出席6月12日舉行的聯合國兒童乒乓球友誼賽，屆時大家將再次把體育精神發揚光大，並將之傳承至下一代。
In a video message delivered during the closing ceremony, Liu shared a heartfelt tribute to the athletes, organizers, and young sports enthusiasts, emphasizing the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and intergenerational inspiration. He celebrated the success of the Games and looked ahead to joining the UN Children's Ping-Pong Friendship Tournament in June 2025.Liu's message is a powerful reminder of how sport can connect generations, cultures, and nations — one rally at a time.
另據中國乒協訊息，劉國樑將在本月21日前往多哈參加國際乒聯會議。
