波士頓學院

美國波士頓學院（Boston College），創立於1863年，坐落於美國馬塞諸塞州栗樹山，是一所隸屬於天主教會的私立研究型大學。

雖然在國內的名氣不大，也經常被學生與波士頓大學搞混，波士頓學院卻是位列USNews 2022大學排名第36名的新常春藤校。

該校為與美國文化歷史名城波士頓西郊，並擁有被列入歷史遺蹟的北美洲最早哥特式建築。其巴布特圖書館被評為世界最美麗的二十五所大學圖書館之一。

波士頓學院也產出了不少知名校友，包括前國務卿約翰·克里、前副國務卿尼古拉斯·伯恩斯等。

波士頓學院

Master of Arts (M.A) in

Mental Health Counseling

波士頓學院的心理健康諮詢專案為學生成為專業心理諮詢師或者在相關領域繼續深造提供了堅實的基礎以及多樣的實踐機會。該專案十分關注社會公平以及多元文化，在為期兩年的專案期間，學生將全面學習如何為個人，群體，社群提供心理健康諮詢，甚至在必要時促進及倡導社會變化。

Letter of Recommendation x 2 ：At least one required from an academic source. Applicants may submit one additional recommendation of their choice.

Transcript：Applicants that have completed a degree outside of the United States must have a course-by-course evaluation of their transcript(s) completed by an evaluation company approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

GRE：optional and not required, GRE code: 3218

專案亮點

靈活的開始時間，學生通常選擇秋季入學，但學生也可以選擇春季入學。並且該專案也提供part-time的選擇，part-time的學生通常會用3-5年完成該專案。

Master of Social Work Program

作為USNEWS School of Social Work排名第十位的社工學院中的研究生專案，該專案不僅致力於培養學生的學習能力，還更加註重學生的研究以及實踐能力。學生每週會被安排2-3天的時間在學校，非營利機構或醫院進行研究及實習。

專業方向

學生需要首先在以下兩個方向中選擇一個作為他們的專業方向：

Clinical：該方向下學生將會更加側重於臨床方面的學習，包括治療干預，評估和診斷的分類等。

Macro：該方向下學生將會更加側重於宏觀的社會工作，包括影響社群，組織和政治層面的系統變化等。

實踐方向

學生不管是選擇了Clinical或Macro方向的學習，都需要在以下六個實踐領域中選擇一個來發展專業知識：Children, Youth, & Families, Global Practice, Health, Latinx Communities, Mental Health, Older Adults & Families.

Personal Statement：No longer than five double-spaced pages, addressing

1)How do you plan on pursuing social work practice that is anti-oppressive to attain social justice?

2)What led to your choice of social work; personal growth stemming from your family, community, and educational background; instances of you giving and receiving help; other careers you considered; and relevance of current and/or past work experience to your choice of a major field.

3)What you expect to gain from your professional education; reasons you chose Boston College; and your goals or plans in your service choice of Clinical or Macro specialized practice.

4)How you plan to address work and other responsibilities during your course of study; how you will finance your education; and how you will do these things in addition to course and fieldwork.

Letter of recommendation x 3：References should know you well enough to evaluate your potential in the field of social work. If you've worked in a social service agency, one reference should be your most recent employer or supervisor. If you are currently or were recently a student, one reference should be a faculty advisor or instructor. General references on file in college placement offices are usually not adequate for the purposes of this application.

Transcripts：International transcripts under review with WES (World Education Services) must be received directly from WES to be considered official.
