1. 預約驗光
Can I make an appointment for my eye test to get my new prescription?

(Or I need both the frame glasses and contact lens prescription.)

4. 驗光提問與回答

美中眼鏡度數對照
在美國，通常用Snellen視力表來衡量視力，這和國內用1.0這樣的數字標準有點不同。它其實是在比較我們和視力正常的人，在多遠的地方能看清楚同樣的東西。
20/20的意思是，站在20英尺遠能看見正常視力的人站20英尺遠能看見的字（對應視力表倒數第三排）。
與之相似， 20/70的意思是，站在20英尺遠的地方才能看清，而視力正常的人可以站在70英尺遠處就能看見（第二排）。
所以如果視力是20/20，就說明視力正常，如果是20/30就是視力比正常水平差，20/10就是視力很好！
中美視力換算大致如下：

20/20這裡可以說：I have 20/20 vision. 唸作 twenty twenty，斜槓不用念。
三種眼科醫生
“Eye Doctor”，
可能指的是三種不同的眼科醫生，他們職責和能力有所不同。
1. 眼鏡店裡的“Optician”
他們更像是眼鏡配鏡師，不是真正的醫生。他們經過專業培訓，擅長幫你挑選合適的眼鏡框、鏡片或者隱形眼鏡，還會幫你安裝和調整。不過，他們不能給你做全面的眼科檢查，也不能開處方。在一些地方，他們甚至不需要特別的執照就能工作。
2. “Optometrist”——驗光師
驗光師能做眼科檢查和視力測試，然後根據你的情況開出配鏡處方。但請注意，他們不能開藥，也不能做眼科手術。
成為驗光師需要先在大學學習幾年，然後再專攻驗光學四年，獲得博士學位。
3. “Ophthalmologist”嚴格意義上的眼科醫生
他們可是眼睛健康方面的專家，要經過多年的學習和實踐才能成為。眼科醫生不僅能做驗光師的所有工作，有執照可以開處方藥、進行眼科手術，解決各種複雜的眼睛問題。
