•China's National Health Protection Committee will not allow bans on travel, shopping mall bans or other controls to force people to vaccinate.

Recently, many unreliable Wechat accounts have have reported that those who have not vaccinated may not be able to travel, cannot enter shopping malls, hospitals or other areas and public officials who are not vaccinated may not be paid.

What are the facts?
The National Health authority's Disease Control Bureau has stated that Covid vaccination is taken only under informed consent and is voluntary.
The bureau stressed the importance of the vaccine as a means of prevention and control of Covid infections, and also to reduce the incidence of severe cases and deaths.
However the National Health Protection Committee's Disease Control Bureau has been concerned about the restrictions on the unvaccinated COVID-19 vaccine groups in some areas, and has timely guidance and standardization.
China's National Health Protection Committee has given special attention to the phenomenon of using compulsory means to inoculate Covid vaccine and has stated that such practices must be corrected.
Measures such as banning unvaccinated individuals from public places such as shopping malls will not be allowed.
