赤水河——“美酒河”
赤水河發源於雲南烏蒙山北麓，蜿蜒流經436公里後匯入長江。因其獨特的生態環境，這條河被譽為“美酒河”。
赤水河兩岸層巒疊嶂，茅臺鎮位於兩岸山脈交匯的河谷地帶。獨特的地理條件使這裡年均氣溫保持在18℃以上，溼度維持在70%-75%，為微生物的繁衍生長提供了得天獨厚的環境。
The riverbanks of Chishui are lined with steep, rugged mountains, and Maotai Town is located in a valley at the junction of these mountain ranges. The area's distinctive geographic features ensure an average annual temperature above 18 degrees Celsius and humidity levels between 70 and 75 percent, creating an ideal environment for microorganisms.
赤水河的水質微甜爽口、酸鹼適度，河谷沿岸土壤多為黃壤型別，生長於此的紅纓子糯高粱顆粒小、耐蒸煮、糯性高，能夠承受“九次蒸煮、八次發酵、七次取酒”的複雜釀造工藝，是茅臺酒醇香細膩的根源。
The water of the Chishui River is slightly sweet, refreshing, and balanced in acidity and alkalinity, while the soil along its banks is mainly yellow. The locally grown red sorghum is fine-grained, highly glutinous, and resistant to boiling, making it well-suited to endure the intricate brewing process of "nine rounds of steaming, eight rounds of fermentation, and seven rounds of distillation". This complex process is the foundation of Moutai liquor's smooth and delicate flavor.

“中國茅臺·國之棟樑”生態守護公益行動
2025年2月17日至18日，主題為“水潤萬物生，生態守護行”的2025“中國茅臺·國之棟樑”生態守護公益行動拉開帷幕。
作為赤水河流域最大的白酒生產企業，茅臺秉承“水更清、山更綠、天更藍，也使酒更香”的理念，將生態保護視為企業責任的重要部分。茅臺每年捐贈5000萬元設立赤水河流域生態保護基金，累計投入超4億元，支援生態修復、植樹造林和水資源保護等專案，推動赤水河全鏈條生態保護。
As the largest liquor producer in the Chishui River basin, Moutai considering ecological protection as an important part of its corporate social responsibility. Moutai donates 50 million yuan ($6.86 million) annually to the Chishui River Ecological Protection Fund. Its total investment exceeds 400 million yuan and supports projects such as ecological restoration, reforestation, and water resource conservation, promoting comprehensive ecological protection across the Chishui River.
此次為期兩天的系列活動匯聚了政府部門、專家學者、公益組織及社會各界力量，共同探討赤水河的生態保護與可持續發展路徑，展示了茅臺在推動環境保護和綠色發展方面的實際行動與顯著成果。
水潤萬物生，生態守護行
17日，來自環境生態、社會經濟等領域的專家學者圍繞“赤水河的生態保護與可持續發展”展開深入討論，探討如何提升生態環境質量和資源利用效率。
活動伊始，與會嘉賓參觀了“守護赤水河”主題展覽，以“一條河的生態之路”和一個企業的厚德擔當為核心，生動展現了茅臺在水資源保護、綠色產業鏈建設等方面的努力與成效。
茅臺集團黨委書記、董事長張德芹表示：“茅臺的根在赤水河，得益於這片得天獨厚、資源稟賦的自然生態，茅臺從幾十人的釀酒作坊，發展成為今天‘世界蒸餾酒第一品牌’。茅臺人不忘來時之路，常懷感恩之心，始終堅守‘順天敬人、明理厚德’的企業核心價值觀，持續踐行守護‘母親河’的使命與責任，以實際行動詮釋茅臺人對赤水河‘母親河’的感恩和深情。”
Zhang Deqin, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Moutai Group, delivered a speech in which he said: "Moutai's roots are deeply tied to the Chishui River. Thanks to the unique and resource-rich natural environment of this region, Moutai has evolved from a small distillery with just a few people to become the 'world's leading distilled liquor brand' today. The people of Moutai never forget their origins and always maintain a heart of gratitude. We remain committed to our core corporate values of 'Following nature, respecting people, valuing wisdom, fostering virtue' and continuously fulfill our mission and responsibility to protect the Mother River. Through our actions, we demonstrate Moutai's deep appreciation and affection for the Chishui River, our Mother River."
隨後中國工程院院士王金南以及中國科學院院士桂建芳分別作主旨發言。王金南表示建設赤水河要踐行綠水青山就是金山銀山理念，形成綠色發展，加強三省協同推進生態保護和高質量發展，探索生態產品價值實現路徑。桂建芳總結了長江生態保護經驗，強調不僅是保護赤水河的生態，更是保護周邊的山水林田湖草等生命共同體。
茅臺集團黨委副書記、總經理王莉分享了“茅臺樣本”，指出透過引領產區保護、推動產業綠色發展和聚焦產品生態價值，推動赤水河生態保護與可持續發展。
最後，圍繞“赤水河保護與可持續發展”主題，茅臺集團代表與多位學者展開訪談，並從城鎮建設、流域治理、社會公益等多個方面，就當前及未來赤水河的生態保護提出了多項建議。
“中國茅臺·國之棟樑”生態守護公益行動啟動儀式
18日，2025“中國茅臺·國之棟樑”生態守護公益活動正式啟動。
啟動儀式在一支環保公益宣傳片中拉開帷幕，展現了護林員、巡河員和科研人員默默守護生態的故事。
On Tuesday, the "China's Moutai: Pillar of the Nation" Ecological Charity Initiative was officially launched. The opening ceremony began with a public service video highlighting the efforts of forest rangers, river patrols, and researchers in safeguarding the ecosystem.
茅臺集團黨委書記、董事長張德芹透過影片向雲貴川三地赤水河守護者致敬，他表示，我們懷著感恩的心態，感恩赤水河為3省14縣人民帶來福祉，我們希望透過這樣的活動把赤水河建設得更加美麗清澈，福澤子孫萬代，希望透過我們的努力，讓這裡的水更清，山更綠，天更藍，酒更香，人更美。
Zhang paid tribute to the ecological guardians of the Chishui River across Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan provinces via a video message. He said: "With deep gratitude, we thank the Chishui River for its blessings to the people in 14 counties across three provinces. Through the initiative，we aim to make the Chishui River even more beautiful and pristine — with clearer water, greener mountains, bluer skies, more fragrant liquor, and better living for all."
隨後，茅臺集團向10名優秀巡河員和護林員頒發榮譽證書，並對受助學子代表頒發勵學證書，鼓勵他們用知識回饋社會，為生態保護貢獻力量。
同時，貴州茅臺公益基金會理事長卓瑪才讓與三地茅臺酒經銷商會長簽署了赤水河流域生態環境保護合作備忘錄，承諾將在生態修復、環境治理等方面展開深入合作，推動流域綠色發展。
赤水河的生命傳遞
隨著2025年生態守護公益行動的正式啟動，現場舉行了一場極具象徵意義的生態接力儀式。
科研人員、巡河員、高粱種植戶和釀酒工匠依次接力傳遞赤水河水樣，象徵著赤水河對產業鏈的滋養以及各行各業對母親河的守護。最終，企業代表和政府領導共同倒入水樣到象徵希望的樹苗中，寓意赤水河的生態之美將在各方努力下生生不息。
與此同時，無人機在植樹現場盤旋，並拉出 “守護赤水生態，共建綠色家園” 的橫幅，現場氣氛達到高潮。茅臺集團的員工、環保志願者們隨後共同開展義務植樹與巡河活動，讓綠色承諾變為現實行動。
