'Kung Fu Hustle' star Huang Shengyi opens up about stifling marriage
Chinese actress Huang Shengyi, known for her role in "Kung Fu Hustle," recently revealed on a TV show that her marriage to actor-turned-businessman Yang Zi feels more like a business relationship than a romantic one.
Appearing on "Goodbye My Love 4," which aired on Oct. 17, Huang shared that for the past decade, her career has been managed by Yang's company, with decisions about her professional life being made without her input. Contracts were often signed on her behalf, leaving her little choice but to comply.
Huang recounted a particularly difficult experience last year when Yang signed her up for the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves," despite a conflict with her film schedule. This forced her to juggle shooting movies during the day and rehearsing at night, leading to exhaustion and missed rehearsals that affected her team’s performance.
In addition to professional frustrations, Huang expressed disappointment with Yang's lack of involvement in raising their two sons. She revealed that Yang had never taken their children to a playground, leaving her to handle all parenting responsibilities.
Huang said she had attempted multiple times to communicate her feelings to Yang but had been unsuccessful. "To me, he's my husband. But to him, I'm just an employee," she confessed.
When asked what Yang feared losing the most, Huang humorously responded, "Money," and added that his favorite flower was "the flower of money." She also admitted she didn’t enjoy livestreaming to sell products but participated because Yang insisted.
Huang also recalled a past incident where Yang publicly belittled her and other celebrities for being "poorly educated." When asked if she was included in that statement, Yang nonchalantly replied: "The earlier someone enters the entertainment industry, the less educated they tend to be—so there's no reason to be upset about it."

'Kung Fu Hustle' star Huang Shengyi opens up about stifling marriage
open up 指“敞開心扉、坦誠地談論”,可以用confide(傾訴)、reveal(揭示)、share(分享)等詞替換。
Regulations on children stifled creativity.

Chinese actress Huang Shengyi, known for her role in "Kung Fu Hustle," recently revealed on a TV show that her marriage to actor-turned-businessman Yang Zi feels more like a business relationship than a romantic one.
Chinese actress Huang Shengyi recently revealed on a TV show that…
“known for her role in ‘Kung Fu Hustle’”是分詞形式的後置定語,修飾Huang Shengyi,對其身份進行介紹:因在電影《功夫》中的角色而廣為人知的黃聖依。
“her marriage to actor-turned-businessman Yang Zi feels more like a business relationship than a romantic one”是show的賓語從句,補充show的內容。
With such opportunities about, gushes Patty Sakunkoo, a PhD-student-turned-entrepreneur who has created multiple photo and video apps, "you can't help but catch the startup bug while at Stanford."
In his new book “Rebel Ideas: The Power of Diverse Thinking”, Matthew Syed, a sportsman-turned-journalist, argues that the key to dealing with this problem is “cognitive diversity”.

The Comedian-Turned-President Is Seriously in Over His Head
more like a business relationship than a romantic one, more…than…

Appearing on "Goodbye My Love 4," which aired on Oct. 17, Huang shared that for the past decade, her career has been managed by Yang's company, with decisions about her professional life being made without her input. Contracts were often signed on her behalf, leaving her little choice but to comply.
Appearing on "Goodbye My Love 4",意思是:參加《再見愛人4》時。
再來看黃聖依shared的內容:her career has been managed by Yang's company,這部分是shared的賓語從句,意思是:她的職業生涯一直由楊子的公司管理。
後面跟了一個with結構進行補充:with decisions about her professional life being made without her input 所有工作安排均由對方決定,幾乎沒有尋問她的意見。
air作動詞講有to broadcast a program的意思,指“播放”,可用主動(sth airs)也可用被動(sth be aired),例句:
The program is due to air next month.
We listen to our employees and value their input.
little but to 意思是“幾乎沒有…
Due to her condition, she has little option but to follow a strict diet.
With rising rent prices, many people have little choice but to move to smaller apartments.

Huang recounted a particularly difficult experience last year when Yang signed her up for the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves," despite a conflict with her film schedule. This forced her to juggle shooting movies during the day and rehearsing at night, leading to exhaustion and missed rehearsals that affected her team’s performance.
sign up for 意思是“報名參加”,Yang signed her up for the reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves"意思是:楊子為她報名真人秀節目《乘風破浪的姐姐》。
Working mothers now have to juggle their jobs, their children's needs and their housework.
leading to exhaustion and missed rehearsals中,exhaustion和missed rehearsals都是名詞結構,作leading to的賓語,字面意思是:導致精疲力盡和錯過的排練。

In addition to professional frustrations, Huang expressed disappointment with Yang's lack of involvement in raising their two sons. She revealed that Yang had never taken their children to a playground, leaving her to handle all parenting responsibilities.
6
Huang said she had attempted multiple times to communicate her feelings to Yang but had been unsuccessful. "To me, he's my husband. But to him, I'm just an employee," she confessed.
7
When asked what Yang feared losing the most, Huang humorously responded, "Money," and added that his favorite flower was "the flower of money." She also admitted she didn’t enjoy livestreaming to sell products but participated because Yang insisted.

8
Huang also recalled a past incident where Yang publicly belittled her and other celebrities for being "poorly educated." When asked if she was included in that statement, Yang nonchalantly replied: "The earlier someone enters the entertainment industry, the less educated they tend to be—so there's no reason to be upset about it."
Don't belittle his achievements.
Mainly to avoid all the staring eyes, Harry looked upward and saw a velvety black ceiling dotted with stars. He heard Hermione whisper, "It's bewitched to look like the sky outside. I read about it in Hogwarts, A History."
Befeathered models, known as “angels”, shimmy down a runway to promote America’s biggest underwear retailer.
besuited men and bejewelled ladies
a bespectacled librarian
