婁勤儉：中美兩國都在追逐各自的夢想，都致力於讓人民過上更美好的生活。中美經貿關係的本質是互利共贏。建交46年來，中美貿易額增長了200多倍，雙向投資存量大約2500億美元，不僅為各自人民帶來了實實在在的利益，也有力促進了全球經濟發展。

國與國之間的貿易理應遵守世界貿易組織規則，貿易爭端也應在世貿組織框架內解決。美方單邊加徵關稅的做法，違反了世貿組織規則，干擾全球產業鏈供應鏈安全穩定。希望美方與中方相向而行，透過平等磋商找到解決問題的辦法。中方也願同世界各國加強合作，共同維護來之不易的多邊貿易體制，反對單邊主義、保護主義，攜手推動普惠包容的經濟全球化。
He criticized the US for its unilateral imposition of tariffs, which violates World Trade Organization rules and disrupts the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.
歷史昭示我們，中美合則兩利，鬥則俱傷，一個穩定、健康、可持續發展的中美關係符合兩國利益和國際社會的期待。作為兩個國情不同的大國，中美之間難免會有一些分歧，關鍵是要尊重彼此核心利益和重大關切，找到妥善解決問題的辦法。我們願意在相互尊重、平等相待、對等互惠的基礎上，同美方透過對話協商解決各自關切，但絕不接受施壓和威脅，將堅決維護好國家主權、安全、發展利益。希望美方同中方一道，共同落實兩國元首重要共識，回到透過對話協商解決問題的軌道上來。
China hopes to work with the United States to address each other's concerns through dialogue and consultation on the basis of mutual respect, equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit, said Lou.China, however, will never accept any pressures or threats, and will firmly defend its sovereignty, security and development interests, he said.The spokesman called on the US to work with China in the same direction, resolving differences through equal consultations.
