Australian Citizens Party Iftar Dinner & Campaign Launch Successfully Held

On March 9th, 2025, the Australian Citizens Party hosted a Launch Campaign with an Iftar (Breaking of the fast) dinner. This event attracted a diverse crowd of supporters, culturally diverse community members, and Muslims who are currently fasting in the month of Ramadan.
本次活動反響熱烈，近200名與會者齊聚一堂，深入瞭解公民黨及其核心政策。同時，聯邦大選候選人——參議員候選人Aisha Nancy Novakovich、Rex Ryles，以及眾議員候選人John Bird（弗里曼特爾選區）和John Carey（坎寧選區）紛紛登臺，與大家分享競選理念。
With a strong turnout of almost 200 attendees, the event was all about introducing the Citizens Party and its key policies; and hearing from federal election candidates Aisha Nancy Novakovich (Senate), Rex Ryles (Senate), John Bird (Fremantle), and John Carey (Canning).
隨後，活動進入小組討論環節，維多利亞州參議員候選人Robert Barwick、公民黨工作人員Sleiman Yohanna、公民黨支持者兼醫學博士Hakim Gassiep，以及前聯邦參議員Dio Wang共同發言。他們講述了自己加入公民黨的原因，並耐心解答了觀眾的提問。
The audience then had the opportunity to hear from panelists Robert Barwick (Senate Candidate for Victoria), Sleiman Yohanna (Citizens Party staffer), Dr. Hakim Gassiep (Citizens Party supporter and medical doctor), and Dio Wang (former member of the federal senate). They each spoke about why they joined the Citizens Party and responded to questions from the audience.
在互動環節，一位名叫穆罕默德（Muhammad）的觀眾站起來，分享了他最近在加沙所經歷的苦難，以及這些經歷對他的家庭及其來澳之路的影響，令在場人士深受觸動。
One audience member, Muhammad, stood up to share his recent experiences of the Gaza genocide, its impact on his family, and his journey to Australia.
此外，觀眾們還就郵政銀行體系、外交政策和農業發展等話題提出了諸多問題，討論熱烈，觀點交鋒激烈。
Many other questions concerned the postal banking system, foreign policy, and agriculture, sparking deep discussions and debates.
整場晚宴不僅有豐盛的美食，更充滿了真誠的交流、歡笑和故事分享。對許多人來說，這是他們第一次瞭解公民黨，也是他們第一次參加社群開齋活動。然而，在這一夜，我們彼此學習、共享美食，並在對人類共同福祉的追求中凝聚在一起。
It was a memorable evening filled with great food, robust discussion, laughter, and storytelling. For many people, it was their first time learning about the Citizens Party.
For many others, it was their first time attending a community iftar. And yet, we all learned from one another, broke bread together, and united for the common cause of humanity.
