7月2日上午，習近平乘專機離開北京，赴阿斯塔納出席上海合作組織成員國元首理事會第二十四次會議，應哈薩克共和國總統託卡耶夫、塔吉克共和國總統拉赫蒙邀請對兩國進行國事訪問。
President Xi Jinping left Beijing on Tuesday morning for the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, and state visits to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan.
陪同習近平出訪的有：中共中央政治局常委、中央辦公廳主任蔡奇，中共中央政治局委員、外交部部長王毅等。
Xi's entourage includes Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and foreign minister.
