在當今世界格局和經濟格局不斷變化的背景下，亞洲如何在中美競爭中找到平衡？哥大全球中心攜手哥大全球思想委員會，誠邀您參加這場引人入勝的線上討論，深入探討美國重返印太地區，以及這一局勢如何重新定義亞洲的地緣經濟秩序。
本次研討會由哥倫比亞大學著名歷史學者亞當·圖茲教授主持，他將與多位頂尖學者共同解析亞洲在日益多極化的世界中的核心角色，以及這一關鍵地區如何在全球大棋局中重新定位。
How can Asia navigate the dynamic balance of US-China competition in a time of shifting power structures and economic realignments?
This webinar will explore the strategic opportunities and geopolitical challenges arising from the United States’ renewed focus on the Indo-Pacific and the broader reshaping of Asia’s geoeconomic order. Moderated by Columbia University historian Adam Tooze, the conversation will bring together leading voices from across the region to assess Asia’s evolving role in a world increasingly defined by multipolarity.
This event is co-hosted by the Columbia Global Center Beijing and the Committee on Global Thought.

圖茲教授出生於倫敦，在德國海德堡長大，後獲得劍橋大學國王學院經濟學學士學位。在柏林自由大學完成研究生學習後，他於1996年獲得倫敦政治經濟學院經濟史博士學位。在加入哥倫比亞大學之前，他曾在劍橋大學歷史系任教13年，並於2009年至2015年擔任耶魯大學歷史學講席教授和國際安全研究中心聯席主任。

Born in London, Professor Tooze grew up in Heidelberg, Germany, before taking a first degree in economics from King’s College Cambridge. After postgraduate study at the Free University Berlin, he took his Ph.D. in economic history from the London School of Economics in 1996. For 13 years, he taught in the History Faculty of the University of Cambridge before joining Yale University, where he was the Barton M. Biggs Professor of History and the Co-Director of International Security Studies from 2009 to 2015.

唐世平教授是當今最有國際影響的中國社會科學家之一，也是當今亞洲最優秀的社會科學家之一。他的研究領域廣泛，主要分成五個大的領域：國際政治、比較政治、制度經濟學、政治（學）理論、社會科學哲學。他在這些領域都做出了世界水平的研究，並且有廣泛的著述。
迄今為止，唐世平教授已經出版英文專著四部、一部中文專著、一部英文編著和一部中文編著。其中，他的Social Evolution of International Politics (《國際政治的社會演化》）（牛津大學出版社，2013年）於2015年獲得國際研究協會的“年度最佳著作”獎。

Professor Shiping Tang is one of Asia’s most influential social scientists. He has a very broad research interest, including international relations, comparative politics, institutional economics, philosophy of social sciences, and political theory. Prof. Tang has published widely. His most recent book, The Social Evolution of International Politics (Oxford University Press, 2013), received the International Studies Association (ISA) “Annual Best Book Award” in 2015.

雷鼎鳴教授多年專注於公共服務，並擔任多個政府及公共機構的公職，為制定香港長遠的經濟政策、土地供應等問題提供真知灼見，為香港謀求更大的福祉。他的傑出教學貢獻備受推崇，他於2008年獲科大商學院頒發的範凱霖傑出教學獎，更多次獲得傑出教學表現獎。雷教授更是第二屆全球傑出華人暨中華文學藝術家金龍獎得主，以及在2017年獲香港特別行政區政府頒發銅紫荊星章，表揚其斐然成就。

Prof. Lui is dedicated to public services and has served in a number of public bodies, providing valuable insight to policy formulation and advice to Hong Kong’s long term economic development, land supply, and much more. His outstanding contribution to teaching was rewarded by the HKUST’s Franklin Prize of Excellence in Teaching in 2008 and by the Recognition of Excellent Teaching Performance throughout his career. Prof. Lui was also awarded the Golden Dragon Award for Distinguished Chinese in the World, the Bronze Bauhinia Star Medal, HKSAR in 2017.

As a correspondent for Dow Jones News Service and United Press International based in Tokyo and Washington, she has reported extensively on policies impacting the global financial system as well as international trade.

Professor Mancini’s work focuses on global governance, United Nations, conflict analysis and resolution. Before joining the LKY School of Public Policy, Prof. Mancini was Senior Director of Research at the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York, an independent, international think-tank devoted to the prevention and settlement of armed conflict. He focused on conflict prevention, mediation, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding. He earned a Master of International Affairs from SIPA, where he was awarded a fellowship within the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies.
