🔹 Session 2: Academic Conversations—Bridging Cultural Differences & Expressing Opinions 
How do you express your ideas confidently in classroom discussions? This interactive workshop will help you understand cultural differences in American academic communication and teach you strategies to articulate your thoughts clearly while respecting different viewpoints. 
🔹 Session 3: Academic Writing—Mastering Thesis Development, Argumentation & Essay Structure 
College essays require strong arguments, clear organization, and solid supporting evidence. This writing workshop will help you develop thesis statements, persuasive arguments, and structured essays, giving you the tools and confidence to succeed in academic writing. 
🎙 Meet the Speaker 
Lidija Kostic is an experienced English language educator and a current participant in the English Language Fellow Program, a U.S. Department of State exchange program. She is currently teaching at Xi’an International University and actively supports the university’s English Speaking Club. With extensive experience teaching in Japan and China, she has worked with learners of all ages, from young students to adults.
Lidija holds an M.A. in TESOL from California State University, Sacramento, and has taught English to immigrant and refugee learners in the U.S.

🔸 Limited Seating: This event is limited to 58 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration does not guarantee entry. 
🔸 Entry Requirements: A valid ID or passport is required for entry. Cameras and laptops are not allowed. Other personal items, including phones and bags, must be stored at the security checkpoint. 
🔸 Health & Safety: Please do not attend if you feel unwell. The venue is equipped with an advanced air filtration system, and hand sanitizer and masks will be provided.
