6月21日，華中科技大學釋出訊息，華中科技大學獲捐一筆1.8億元人民幣的個人匿名善款。
據瞭解，這是華中科技大學有史以來獲得的單筆最大捐贈。捐贈人希望此次捐贈能起到拋磚引玉的作用，吸引更多校友參與華科的發展，共同為華科的成長貢獻力量。
Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) announced on Saturday that it had received a substantial anonymous personal donation totaling 180 million yuan – the largest single gift in the university's history. The donor expressed hope that the contribution would encourage more alumni to support HUST's development.
據介紹，華中科技大學是國家教育部直屬重點綜合性大學，由原華中理工大學、同濟醫科大學、武漢城市建設學院於2000年5月26日合併成立，是國家“211工程”重點建設和“985工程”建設高校之一，是首批“雙一流”建設高校。
