Intellectual Property (IP) rights help musicians protect their work and are a cornerstone for a thriving music industry. Join us at the Beijing American Center on April 25 from 6:30-8:00pm for an engaging event that celebrates the vital connection between IP rights and music. The program will feature a captivating musical performance and an insightful discussion with music creators, industry promoters, and IP experts, exploring how IP fuels creativity and sustains the music industry.

ANG Kwee Tiang (KT Ang) is the Senior Vice President of Asia Public Policy at Universal Music Group (UMG) in Hong Kong, where he develops copyright frameworks and policies for the music industry. Previously, he was the Asia Pacific Regional Director for IFPI and spent over two decades as the Regional Director of CISAC, establishing copyright organizations across Asia. KT holds a law degree from the National University of Singapore and advanced degrees in copyright law from King's College, University of London. He has contributed to WIPO advisory missions and authored a chapter on Asia in Kluwer’s copyright management book.

Guo Biao has a distinguished career in the field of copyright and intellectual property. From 1988 to 2000, he worked at the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC), where he served as the Deputy Director of the International Division. In 2003, he became the Vice General Manager of Beijing Tai He Hong Ye Copyright Company. Since 2006, Guo has represented IFPI in China, and he has held the position of IFPI Regional Director for Greater China since 2021. He is also an active member of the China IP Law Society and the China Copyright Society. Additionally, Guo served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy Management at Bournemouth University, UK, from May 2017 to April 2019.

He Sun is a distinguished professor at the Tianjin Juilliard School's Pre-College Division and serves as the President and CEO of Ultimate Brass, Inc. Additionally, he is the President of the International Music and Education Academy and Festival Association. He holds degrees from Oklahoma City University, Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts, and Temple University, showcasing his extensive expertise in the field.

Dana Zhou, a talented and versatile creator. She is a Vision and Sound Original Digital Art Creator and the Alumni Club President of the University of California, Irvine. With expertise as a data scientist in machine learning and computer vision, Dana combines technology with her artistic skills. She works in fine art, oil painting, and digital art, and is also a musician, electronic music producer, songwriter, and singer.
周丹丹是一位才華橫溢的創作者。她是視覺與聲音原創數字藝術創作者，同時也是加州大學爾灣分校校友會的會長。作為一名在機器學習和計算機視覺領域的資料科學家，周丹丹將技術與她的藝術技能相結合。她從事美術、油畫和數字藝術創作，同時也是一名音樂家、電子音樂製作人、詞曲創作人和歌手。
Eric Allen is an Americana, blues, and country singer-songwriter and guitarist from Indiana. He began performing in his father's band at age four and later earned a law degree, becoming the first in his family to attend college. After teaching at an Ivy League university and working in publishing, he backpacked through 45 countries and has since toured extensively in China. Known for his soulful sound, Eric's albums include Prowlin' Lobo Blues, released in February 2023, and his debut album, Eric Allen, from January 2021. Both albums received critical acclaim. Currently, he is recording his third album, set to release in summer 2025, and performs solo with a Texas-influenced fingerpicking style at various music festivals in China.
